I was looking for a secure and comfortable saddle to take my dressage horse on trail rides and am so glad I got in contact with Amber of Outback Saddles. Her knowledge of saddle fit and horse shape is outstanding, which made it possible to find a great saddle despite shopping at a distance. After sending photos and tracings, Amber sent me her recommendations on best options for Australian saddles and I was impressed that none were the highest priced saddles she carries, but were instead the ones most likely to fit. The saddle I chose was beautiful and comfortable and rides very secure. Amber worked with me to assure a good fit for my very hard-to-fit horse, even adjusting the tree a second time. It was very evident that she was interested in providing the best saddle for me and the horse, rather than making the quickest or priciest sale.
What most impressed me was Amber’s professionalism. I never waited more than 8 hours for a reply to my many emails and she kept me informed on shipping and provided tracking information the same day.
My horse and I are now both very comfortable on trail rides. Me, because I know with the deep seat and poleys I am not going anywhere; and the horse because the tree and panels fit her well and I am relaxed. We are fortunate to have such a great option for Australian type tack in Canada. I would not hesitate to purchase from Amber and Outback Saddles again.
