Adjustable Gullet & Synthetic Tree

All of our new Bad Dog Ranch Australian Stock saddles, including the Outback Poley Australian saddle, feature an adjustable gullet.  Built on our innovative lightweight synthetic tree.

Consequently, interchangeable gullet plates allow you to fine‑tune the fit for a wide range of horses or accommodate changes in a horse’s shape.

These saddles come with three gullet plates of different widths. At present, this feature is only available with the no‑horn option.

Recommended Pad

For added cushioning, we suggest pairing the saddle with a Bad Dog Ranch Wool Saddle Pad. Furthermore, pad thickness can be selected to suit the individual needs of your horse.

Fit Process

To ensure a precise fit, we require a wither‑and‑back tracing of the horse you intend to ride. If you have multiple horses, please provide the tracing of the widest horse so that we can achieve the best possible fit.

In addition, side‑view photographs of the horse’s conformation are also invaluable for our evaluation.
